Masquerading as a boy named Zack, the male Dodge - who looks exactly like Ellie's old boyfriend, Lucas - becomes Tyler's best friend and Kinsey's boyfriend. Instead, Dodge uses something called the Gender Key to switch between her male and female forms. The Identity Key doesn't exist in the comics. The Dodge-Gabe deception echoes one of the graphic novel's main plotlines, although it works a little differently in the book.

Gabe doesn't appear until after Bode gives Dodge the Anywhere Key in the first episode, and his pitch-perfect emotional manipulation of Kinsey always felt a little predatory (presumably, there was a real Gabe at some point - it doesn't seem likely that the Savinis cast a complete stranger in their movie - although he might be dead). It also looks like Eden died in the final scene of Locke and Key season 2. Oh, and we can’t forget all those people who died in the gunfight at the Locke House during the Revolutionary War. In the final battle, all of the people turned into demons by Gabe die in the fight or when the house collapses into the ocean. Javi was the first person turned into a demon by Gabe. We also see Eden kill Javi in season 2, as well. The bodies continue to pile up in Locke and Key season 2. Tyler, who has managed to make a key of his own, the Alpha Key, uses it to kill the demon and save Jackie. After getting turned into a demon with the key that Duncan made for Gabe, Jackie and Tyler meet. The most crushing death of the season was obviously Jackie. Gabe, then, uses the Thorn Key to dispose of Erin’s body. Erin tried to use the Chain Key on Gabe, and it worked until Eden arrived. They kill several people in the beginning of the season, including but not limited to the guy who serves popcorn at the movie theater, a boat captain, and a guy who lives in the woods.īut, there are a few major casualties in the new season, starting with Erin, who is killed by Gabe with the help of Eden at the Winter Festival. Gabe and Eden are on a tear in Locke and Key season 2. Luckily, most of our favorite characters do end up surviving the season but not all. Locke and Key season 2 is definitely one of the best Netflix shows of 2021, but unfortunately, not all of our favorite characters make it out of Locke and Key season 2 alive.
